Location: Applecross, WA
Client: City of Melville
Commissioned by the City of Melville as part of the city’s residential park and water catchment renovations, with a focus on revitalising community spaces through public art.
The brief was to include themes of water ecology and nature connected with the site.
The site has several beautiful trees and the surrounding gardens are filled with flowers and birds. We created an artwork which provides visual interest while representing its location through the botanical and fauna species. The addition of the beehive and bees representing a healthy environment and the importance of plants in a suburban area.
This artwork was painted on a newly installed sump wall.
